In recent years, the business unit Building Materials has developed very successfully. By appointing a CEO for the business unit Xella takes another important step in the strategic and organizational realignment of the Group. He directly reports to the Group's CEO, Dr. Jochen Fabritius. Like the two other business units Dry Lining and Lime the business unit Building Materials obtains its own CEO who takes care of the further strategic and operational advancement of the business unit.
Mr. Bois has extensive management experience in leading positions where he successfully led international businesses to profitable growth. Mr. Bois moves to Xella from Saint-Gobain Building Glass Europe. He began his management career at the age of 28 with the Smurfit Group in France. Thereafter, he worked for Saint-Gobain in various management positions, particularly in France, Central Europe and Germany. Most recently he managed the integrated European Business Unit "Windows" for the glass division of Saint-Gobain which has a strong focus on the French,German, Polish and Scandinavian markets. Mr. Bois has worked in management positions in international environments for a long time. He is of French nationality and has a double degree in business administration in the UK and in France.
