UN Global Compact

We are a member of the UN Global Compact, the world's largest and most important initiative for responsible corporate governance. We support the principles of the UN Global Compact as well as the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations through our sustainability strategy and our ambitious targets along our entire value chain from raw material extraction and product development to our relationship with our employees and customers.


Xella’s Group-wide compliance system is designed to ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal corporate guidelines in order to anchor ethically and morally impeccable conduct in the corporate culture. 
Xella has implemented a Group-wide Compliance Organization whose aim is to counteract and prevent illegal and unethical behavior. The Compliance Organization is based on a Code of Conduct that is binding for all employees. Besides the Code, guidelines on various issues such as competition and antitrust law, data and information security or the handling of gifts and invitations form important pillars of the Compliance Organization.

Supplier Code of Conduct 

In this context, we focus primarily on our suppliers, their products and services and the supply chain as a whole. In order to establish sustainability in purchasing, we believe it is necessary for our partners to follow our voluntary commitment. This is the purpose of our Group-wide Supplier Code of Conduct. It is important to us to continue working with our business partners in a spirit of trust and to comply with the legal provisions and regulations on human rights, working conditions and environmental protection. 

Data protection and information security 

Xella Group attaches maximum importance to protecting our data and information. We are not only obliged by law to treat data and information properly and responsibly; in fact, it is in our own interest to protect data and information as effectively as possible.
All Xella employees must therefore take part in both data protection and information security training to ensure uniform standards throughout the Group.
