“Energy efficient and affordable housing – delivered sustainably.”
Xella stands for innovative, safe and sustainable building and insulation materials and is a provider of solutions for energy-efficient, healthy and cost-optimized construction. But it is not only our products that stand for sustainability. As a company we also aim to make the best possible use of human, natural and financial resources in terms of sustainable development.
To achieve this vision, we are constantly evolving. In 2020, we analyzed and partially revised our strategy on the sustainability topics: Environment, Social and Governance. We have identified the ESG topics that are essential for us and our business model and where we can create the greatest added value. We strive to achieve the best possible environmental, social and governance performance in our products and services, in our manufacturing and management processes, in our supply chains, and in our dealings with our stakeholders. It goes without saying that we continuously invest in reaching our sustainability targets.
We have delivered energy-efficient housing solutions for almost 100 years and will continue to develop solutions that not only meet our customers’ requirements but also contribute to global energy efficiency. We are working to continuously improve the sustainability footprint of buildings throughout their entire lifecycle. Our product portfolio helps us push forward with decarbonization and the development towards a low-carbon construction sector. Boasting the highest degree of digitalization in the industry, we also reduce costs and waste in the construction industry.
As a globally operating company and as an employer in various regions of Europe, we bear responsibility for our employees, who are the very basis of our long-term success. We are fully committed to promoting their health, their professional development and their satisfaction in the long term and to offering them a safe, fair and diverse working environment.
We take our role in the economy and in society very seriously. We demand ethical business conduct in our actions, in our communications and in our dealings with internal and external stakeholders. We have zero tolerance for fraud, bribery and any kind of anti-competitive activities or discriminatory and unethical behavior and demand that our suppliers meet the same standards.
To us, sustainability is not just a trend, but the core of our corporate values and our daily actions.
